At Kevenka Coffees, the production and export of high-quality green coffee beans are carried out with pride, deeply rooted in Surabaya, East Java. The mill is located in the Ijen region, where the fertile volcanic soil and ideal climate contribute to the rich, distinctive flavors of the coffees. A strong commitment to quality is upheld through close partnerships with local farmers, producer partners, and collectors. Upon receiving the coffee cherries, an extensive quality control process is performed to ensure that high standards are met. Through this rigorous inspection, only the finest, ripest cherries are selected for processing, safeguarding the integrity and flavor of the beans from the very start.
This year, three distinct coffee processing methods are being showcased: Natural, Washed with 48-hour Anaerobic Fermentation, and Natural with 48-hour Anaerobic Fermentation. A dedication to innovation and craftsmanship is reflected in each process, resulting in beans with unique flavor profiles that highlight the terroir of the Ijen Highlands in East Java.
Compared to the previous harvest year, several improvements have been made, including a more experienced and seasoned team, higher quality and cupping scores, enhanced processing equipment, and an upgraded drying facility. These advancements allow for the production of larger quantities of coffee without compromising quality, ensuring that premium coffee continues to be delivered with every shipment.
